**Duties and Responsibilities**:
The intern will assist in the following duties and responsibilities:
**Business Process Support**
- Provide administrative support in day-to-day activities
- Provide support in updating and maintaining database on shared folders
- Provide support on data entry in prevailing web based system
- Provide simple analysis in area of operations to provide recommendation of simplification of business process as required by hiring manager
- Provide support in workshop, seminar or event preparation related to programme implementation
- Provide administrative support on development of IT database and maitenance of information as required
- Provide support for knowledge sharing and training on gender sensitive operations related training
- Provide procurement, admin, asset, IT and finance support in country office business process related to programme implementation. Provide liaison support with communication along country office internal unit and government/ministerial or implementing partners related to programme implementation

**Required Skills and Experience**:
**Education**:
- currently in the final year of a bachelor's degree
- currently enrolled in a master's degree; or
- have graduated no longer than 1 year ago from a bachelor's degree or master's degree or equivalent studies.
Field of study**:Development Studies, Public Policy, International Relations, Management, Business Administration, Economics, Accounting, Fiscal Administration,** or equivalent.
**IT skills**:
- Knowledge and a proficient user of Microsoft Office productivity tools;
**Language skills**:
- ** Proficiency in English** is required;
- Knowledge of other UN languages is an advantage.
**Other competencies and attitude**:
- Interest and motivation in working in an international organization;
- Knowledge of - or proven interest in the area of finance management, procurement, supply and logistics, human resources;
- Outgoing and initiative-taking person with a goal oriented mind-set;
- Communicates effectively when working in teams and independently;
- Good in organizing and structuring various tasks and responsibilities;
- Displays cultural, gender, religion, race, nationality and age sensitivity and adaptability;

**INTERNSHIP CONDITIONS**
- UNDP accepts no responsibility for costs arising from accidents and/or illness or death incurred during the internship;
- Interns are responsible for obtaining necessary visas and arranging travel to and from the duty station where the internship will be performed;
- Interns must provide proof of enrolment in health insurance plan;
- Interns are not staff members and may not represent UNDP in any official capacity;
- Interns are expected to work full time, but flexibility is allowed for education programmes;
- Interns need to obtain financing for subsistence and make own arrangements for internship, travel, VISA, accommodation, etc.
