**JOB TITLE**: Assistant I - HSSE

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Compile all incident reports. Participate in incident investigation reviews and data collection.
- Assist in the administration of HSE Policy, Manuals, Standards, Procedures, and Safe Work Practices.
- Compile and provide statistical summaries to the management and draw attention to significant trends and occurrences.
- Inspect and evaluate workplace environments, equipment, and practices, in order to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Receiving and investigating all reports of accidents, incidents, near misses and illnesses, and determining their causes and making recommendations for improving prevention and controls.
- Assist in systems audits and verify accuracy of statistics. Assist in conducting incident investigation and root cause analysis.
- Perform administrative duties such as typing memos, taking meeting minutes, faxing, photocopying and distributing aforementioned to appropriate individuals.
- Create company HSE data reports and maintain statistical safety data up to date. Assist HSE Manager in safety audits.
- Carry out other related tasks as advised by the supervisor.

**ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS**:

- Bachelor's degree (4 years) or Diploma (3 years)
- Office administration and/or office support experience
- Strong administrative and organizational skills and ability to prioritize and handle multiple functions
- Strong Microsoft Office, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel skills
- Excellent presentation and facilitation skills
- Ability to speak, read and write English with good communication skills.
