**Responsibilities**
The Human Resources (HR) Risk role provides insights to first and second lines of defence in Human Resources (HR) following the Bank's risk management framework and builds strong culture on governance, risk, compliance and audit in HR. The role is also defined as Deputy Business Risk and Information Officer (DBIRO) and Local Compliance Officer for HR.
HR Risk is expected to pro-actively interact with HR leadership team and its units to ensure proper embeddedness of risk and control frameworks in their units, with objective on effective migitation, designs and operations that are aligned with the Bank's goals. This includes driving the risk and control owners in assessing risks and controls, identiying issues/events, building remediation action, engagement in material change initiatives, and People Risk governance and reporting. This is part of the assurance on all role holders in HR to deliver the individual accountabilities.
HR Risk needs to understand the Indonesian law & regulations, best practices from HSBC Group and its impact for the Bank; and provide routine insights and recommendation of the adoption to HR's first and second lines' policies and procedures. It continues with regular independent review, oversight the law and regulatory development as well as monitor of HR's controls in all units in HR and ensure the connections between all controls are effective in mitigating People Risk.
The role is also expected to monitor the implementation, operations and improvement of business risk and information, and compliance to HSBC's data, information and system governances.
Qualifications
**Requirements**:
- Has a minimum of 8 years experiences in the areas of banking operations, governances, and/or risk & compliance.
- Ability to speak and understand English fluently, strong communicator, both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to work in pressurised environment, manage priorities effectively - timebound, attention-to-detail and accuracy to deliver high productivity outputs.
- Ability to work independently with strong collaborative management skills with various stakeholders.
- Effective skills in interpersonal, problem solving, and leadership to direct and motivate HR teams in risk management activities.
- Possess strong business acumen, with professional credibility, responsibility and integrity.
- Evidence strong process management skills with an ability to provide analytical support and improvement recommendation to process and operational
