About the CEO - Chemical Industry Role:
This is an exciting senior country representative/leader in charge of following and advocating the applicable statutory, legal, ethical and behavioural rights, duties and standards whether internally or externally.
Key Responsibilities:
Country Management Leadership
Supports culture, steering communication and engagement, promoting collaboration across divisions and functions in the country and a sense of belonging to a broader organisation than just the immediate team
Initiates and chairs periodic country management team meetings (including agenda setting)
Represents the country on Regional Leadership Team as needed
Coordinates decisions that influence or affect company policies, office facilities and footprint within the country
Serves as country point of reference on company initiatives and company communications
Has an understanding of country business results and assumptions, identifies and steers enterprise selling or other operational opportunities in cooperation and with approval of the divisional/functional management
Internal Organisation
Exercises decision authority, together with Country Finance Leader and RESS function, over matters related to facility management and local company policies
Provides functional coordination and issue resolution as necessary to ensure the delivery of aligned and quality functional support to the divisions in the country
Statutory Representation
Represents the company in dealings with local works council and union representatives as needed and along with other functions, including HR
Legal representation to local authorities, trade associations
Co-Signatory responsibility in line with delegated authority per corporate policies and along with other designated individuals
Represents the company as a legal representative in front of local authorities, litigations, trade associations, customers (if required by divisions) internal and external worker committees (with HR), etc.
Validate and sign local financial records and other legal and statutory reporting
SEA Business Transformation, Compliance and Regulatory
Leads major SEA wide transformation projects that will help it performance and process improvement
Leads the SEA compliance counsel and business compliance process
Oversees regulatory and trading compliance
Owns the compliance agenda, supported by the Market Compliance officer and investigates and reports all potential code of conduct or compliance issues to the Compliance officer
To succeed in this CEO - Chemical Industry role, you will need to have an exceptional strategic and analytical thinking, technical expertise in Chemical manufacturing company for technology, services to the food, and industrial as well as hospitality markets.
Key Requirements:
Master's degree in Business, Engineering or comparable experience
Excels in execution, whether P&L, business or functional results, local customer management, country insight into functional investment, marketing or sales strategies (experience in business management)
Minimum of 15 years' experience in chemicals industry with an international environment
Local language skills are an advantage as well as excellent English language skills
Proven experience in people management and Business Transformation
Clean criminal record
