A mining company has made available a Chief Financial Officer/Finance Director job in their Head Office in Jakarta. This is an internationally listed group focused on the development of a portfolio of assets across Indonesia.
About the Chief Financial Officer/Finance Director Role:
Reporting into the CEO as a member of the Executive Committee, your key objective will be to report the Company’s financial performance, governance and regulatory compliance across a number of jurisdictions, formulation of strategic business plans, maintain rigours policies and procedures, and provide expert financial advice to the entire management team and Board of Non-Executive Directors.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and supervise all financial matters such including statutory and management reporting with a locally based team
Manage the preparation of company and strategic business plans and track financial results versus budgets
Manage and lead the consolidation of financial accounts
Provide continuous enhancements of internal control procedures to align with the growth of the Company
Maintain and monitor the cash flow position, through an active Treasury discipline
Manage relationships with banks including project finance banks
Manage Group Insurance arrangements
Investment policy control and development
Implement and review policies and procedures and ensuring compliance with local regulatory and statutory requirements as required
Oversee financial audits, bank reviews and internal control audits
Contribute to the short, medium and long term strategic initiatives through active leadership
Provide on-going leadership and development plans for the finance and commercial teams
Work closely with non-finance personal to provide general leadership and contribution to operational decisions and plans
Carry out other special assignments as and when required by the CEO
To succeed in this Chief Financial Officer/Finance Director role, you must be well-versed in all aspects of financial management ranging from simple accounting to broad investment and banking operations.
Key Requirements:
Minimum of 15 years' of experience in Accounting or Finance including proven experience as a Finance Director or CFO
CA, CPA, MBA qualification is a strong advantage
Prior experience in the mining industry (highly desirable)
In-depth knowledge of corporate financial law and risk management practices
Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods
Ability to lead the team in a fast-paced environment whilst still being hands-on
Team player with excellent communication skills
Demonstrate a high level of professionalism, honesty, integrity and work ethic
