A Database Administrator (DBA) manages and maintains an organization's databases for data integrity, security, and performance.
- Responsibilities include installing and configuring databases, optimizing performance, ensuring backups and recovery, managing security measures, designing and normalizing database schemas, planning for capacity and upgrades, monitoring and maintenance, collaborating with teams, troubleshooting issues, and staying updated with industry trends.
**Requirements**:
- **Education**: A bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field is often preferred.
- Experience**: 1 - 3 years experiences
- Database Management Skills**: Proficiency in managing and optimizing popular database management systems such as Oracle, MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, etc.
- Performance Tuning**: Experience in performance tuning, query optimization, and indexing to ensure optimal database response times.
- Backup and Recovery**: Familiarity with backup and recovery procedures, including knowledge of backup strategies and restoration processes.
- Security Expertise**: Understanding of database security principles, user authentication, access controls, encryption, and vulnerability assessment.
- Troubleshooting Skills**: Strong problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve database-related issues.
- Communication**: Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams, explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, and create documentation.
- Understanding of Cloud Services**: Familiarity with cloud-based database services (e.g., AWS RDS, Azure SQL Database) if the organization utilizes cloud infrastructure.
- Adaptability**: The ability to adapt to new technologies, tools, and methodologies as the field of database administration evolves.
- Attention to Detail**: Precision and attention to detail are critical to maintaining data accuracy and database performance.
- Organizational Skills**: The capability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize work, and meet deadlines.
Pay: Rp4,500,000 - Rp7,000,000 per month
