**Director of Engineering**
The Director of Engineering oversees and manages all aspects of engineering operations within the hotel and the residences. The Director of Engineering plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth functioning and maintenance of the hotel's physical infrastructure, including electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC, and other critical equipment. They are responsible for implementing and enforcing safety standards, managing capital projects, and coordinating with external contractors and vendors. Additionally, the Director of Engineering is tasked with optimizing energy efficiency, reducing operational costs, and implementing sustainable practices to enhance the guest experience and uphold the hotel's reputation for luxury and excellence.
**Qualifications**
- Education: A bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field. Degrees in mechanical, electrical, or civil engineering are particularly relevant. Advanced degrees or certifications in engineering or related disciplines can be advantageous.
- Experience: Extensive experience in engineering and maintenance operations, with a minimum of 7-10 years of experience in a senior engineering role, preferably within the hospitality industry. Experience in overseeing engineering services for high-end residences is also desirable.
- Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of various engineering systems and technologies. This includes electrical systems, HVAC, plumbing, fire safety systems, and building automation systems. Familiarity with sustainable practices, energy management, and regulatory compliance is also important.
- Industry Knowledge: A solid understanding of the luxury hospitality industry and its unique requirements is beneficial. Familiarity with relevant regulations, codes, and safety standards specific to the hospitality sector is advantageous.
