Freelance Fashion Designer

**Responsibilities**:

- Create original designs for kids swimwear
- Develop sketches, patterns, and prototypes using traditional or computer-aided design (CAD) techniques
- Collaborate with team members to determine design concepts and themes
- Conduct market research to identify current trends and consumer preferences
- Select fabrics, trims, and embellishments for each design
- Create technical specifications and detailed instructions for manufacturers
- Oversee the production process to ensure designs are executed correctly
- Make adjustments to designs based on feedback from clients or production teams
- Stay updated on industry trends and attend fashion shows and events

**Requirements**:

- Min. degree in fashion design is preferred.
- Proficiency in color theory and the ability to create visually appealing color palettes
- Strong product management skills to oversee the design process from concept to production
- Fashion styling expertise to create cohesive and fashionable looks especiallly kids
- Knowledge of sewing machine operation and garment construction techniques
- Ability to illustrate designs by hand or using computer software such as Adobe Illustrator
- Excellent fashion design skills, including sketching, draping, and pattern-making
- Sewing skills to create prototypes or make alterations as needed
- Sales skills to effectively communicate design ideas and sell products to clients or retailers
- Experience in kids swimwear design is a plus
