Qualifications, experience & skills:
7-10 plus years of managerial accounting and/or financial management experience.
Minimum 5 years experience at Big 4 Public Accounting Firm, experience handling financial institution is preferable.
Experience working in a growing start up environment strongly preferred.
Fluent in english (written and oral).
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business is mandatory. MBA, CA, CPA and/or CMA preferred but not required.
Solid knowledge of accounting policies/procedures and financial statements across the financial services industry.
In-depth knowledge of tax and accounting, local GAAP and IFRS
Ability to independently resolve complex problems where analysis requires the in-depth evaluation of numerous criterias and weighting factors. Experience with Xero is preferred.
Excellent time and self-management skills, strong organizational & people management, ability to prioritize, operate with minimum supervision and multitasking capabilities to meet deadlines is required.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Improve the company's accounting process and system as well as financial reporting
Supervise daily, monthly, quarterly and yearly operations within the finance and accounting department (two entities – Indonesia)
Coordinating, preparing and reviewing monthly, quarterly, and annual reports both statutory and regulatory purposes as well as consolidation reporting package and consolidated financial statements.
Supervises, directs, and reviews the work of the Finance, Accounting & Tax team members.
Reports to the both Indonesia and Australian executives
Directing and controlling all aspects of accounting policy, systems and operations, overseeing all transactions related to general ledger, receivables, payables, payroll and financial reporting.
Ensuring that records are maintained in accordance with GAAP (and IFRS) and timely financial closing on a monthly basis.
Designing and reviewing financial operations system architecture across areas including disbursements, repayments, refunds and other fund-flow mechanisms. Managing working capital to support efficient and effective fund-flow to cater business operation and product development needs.
Assisting senior management in financial planning and results management. Work with other team members to understand revenue and cost drivers and define appropriate reports for tracking.
Developing and coordinating relationships with lending/financial institutions.
Managing all tax planning and compliance with all required federal, state, local, payroll, property and other applicable taxes.
Other finance, accounting, administrative duties or other financial reports as required by management.
