- To ensure maximum customer's satisfaction.
- To assist the sales department during sales phase of the project in regard to checking mill standards time schedules and to analyze contractual terms.
- To prepare information for initiation of work in functional departments.
- Planning of project organization and resources together with functional departments.
- To prepare and control overall project time schedule.
- To initiate preparation of individual time schedule covering both the local as well as overseas project resources.
- To coordinate all internal and external activities required for a smooth handling of the project.
- To control deadlines and cost.
- To control progress of activities at home location as well External Partners involved in the project.
- To issue project guidelines and to ensures observance of such guidelines at all Valmet partners involved.
- To ensure the realization of approval procedures by the customer and other partners.
- To organize project review meetings with all parties concerned (internal & external).
- To issue monthly project status report to the top management.
- To initiate corrective measures if deviations from the planned path are observed.
- To receive and evaluate project status reports from project managers at other Valmet location involved.
- To perform change management and claim management.
- To assist with planning and organizing field erection, training of customer's personnel and start-up.
- To participate at start-up activities at the mill.
- To follow up actively with the fulfillment of performance guarantees.
- To record short comings and to follow up with the activities to overcome such deficiencies.
- To follow up the issue of completion/acceptance certificates.
- To follow up the processing of warranty claims.
- To analyze back charge claims and to process the back charges.
- To issue a project summary report.
Basic Requirements of this position
- Bachelor Degree / University Degree in Engineering
- Min 2 years in project manager role
- English fluently in writing and speaking
- Good at Microsoft Office tools (Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Project).
- Knowledge in AutoCAD / other Engineering drawings
- Background knowledge about Pulp and Paper/Board/Tissue Machinery related services
- Experienced dealing with and coordination of cross-border intercompany organization.
- Familiar with stages of order handling
- Experience in managing commercial contract execution
- Familiar with different systems applied with project management
(scheduling, cost and progress control)
- Good leadership skills, experience in team leading is considered as a benefit.
- Able to handle multiples tasks and delegation to indirect subordinates.
- Well convincing, encouragement, advising, driving and executing to get the job done.
- Good information finding / gathering and analytical to execute solutions but utilizing team and peers.
- Good at presentation and convincing.
- Able to work well under pressure to meet deadlines and expectation.
