International Farm Manager - Indonesia - Excellent Salary Package

An exciting new opportunity for a Farm Manager to manage a large scale, cropping and plantation unit in Indonesia. The farm is owned by a diverse and successful International manufacturing business who are keen to appoint an experienced agriculturalist to live and work in Indonesia for the next few years. The Farm Manager will be employed on a UK employment contract
This is a genuine career opportunity, and will allow the post holder to be part of an exciting new venture within a dynamic International company.
Key Responsibilities:
To manage the day-to-day operations over approximately 1500 ha
To lead a team of 50-60 local staff
To effectively manage all operations on site and be prepared to drive mechanisation and innovation going forward
To oversee all areas of crop production including clearing ground, establishing crops and ground cover, harvesting and packing of produce for dispatch. There is also a farm based nursery area for growing on seedlings and young trees.
To implement the agreed crop rotations with local agronomic advice and support.
Candidate requirements: -
Proven farm management, or plantation management, experience
Previous experience working in an international setting with a team of local farm staff
Keen interest in mechanisation and farm machinery including tractors
Degree in Agriculture or similar - ideal but not essential
Excellent communication skills
Ability to work autonomously and to manage staff
Remuneration - Excellent base salary, housing expenses, company car, 3 x annum flights back to UK and other benefits.
