As a Payroll Specialist, you will be responsible for processing and managing the payroll activities of our clients organization. You will ensure accurate and timely processing of employee compensation, deductions, and taxes. Your attention to detail, knowledge of payroll regulations, and strong analytical skills will contribute to the smooth functioning of our payroll processes.
**Key Responsibilities**:
Payroll Processing:
- Collect and validate employee time and attendance data.
- Calculate and process employee salaries, wages, bonuses, and commissions.
- Review and verify accuracy of payroll data, including hours worked, deductions, and taxes.
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations related to payroll, including tax withholding and reporting.
Payroll Reconciliation and Reporting:
- Reconcile payroll transactions and resolve discrepancies.
- Generate payroll reports, including earnings statements, tax filings, and deductions summaries.
- Prepare and submit payroll tax returns and ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations.
Compliance and Record Keeping:
- Stay updated on changes in payroll regulations and employment tax laws.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee payroll records, including earnings, deductions, and taxes.
- Ensure data confidentiality and security in handling sensitive employee information.
Communication and Support:
- Collaborate with Client's HR, Finance, and other departments to resolve payroll-related issues.
- Assist clients with payroll inquiries, including pay discrepancies, deductions, and tax-related matters.
Process Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy of payroll operations.
- Work closely with the payroll team to implement new systems or tools to streamline processes.
**Requirements**:
- Bachelor's degree in management, HR, or a related field (preferred).
- Proven experience as a payroll specialist or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of payroll practices, employment tax laws, and regulations.
- Proficiency in using payroll software or HRIS (Human Resources Information System), understanding Talenta is a plus.
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel or other spreadsheet software.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
