**Role**: The Management Accountant Specialist is responsible for ensuring that the monthly management accounts are accurate and completed on time. The Management Accountant - Specialist will report directly to the Management Accountant Team Leader in Indonesia and will be a key member of the Indonesia finance team.
They are required to ensure that General Ledger processes are executed efficiently & accurately with minimum supervision in a timely manner. The Management Accountant Specialist will be required to perform month-end close procedures including the recording of intercompany transactions, accruals and prepayments, fixed asset entries, prepare balance sheet reconciliations, conduct trial balance review & variance analysis and respond to information requests or questions from Finance teams and internal & external customers. In addition, the position will support with the year-end close, the preparation of the trial balance sheet reconciliations, local to IFRS adjustments, and work with external auditors in completing the group statutory audit.
Whilst the management accounts and external reporting are the key focus of this role the position will be expected to assist and support the Indonesia finance team with any work back-logs and support with LL reporting, and any other ad-hoc projects that may require their assistance.
**Main Responsibilities**:
- Preparation of monthly assigned journal postings and general ledger account reconciliations across all Indonesia legal entities.
- Manage revenue recognition and the correct accounting treatment of revenue generated from lease, management and franchise contracts.
- Assist in all compliance reviews and reporting internally and externally.
- Provide support to the finance operational team.
- Process quarterly recharges to intercompany entities.
- Review of bank account reconciliations
- Ensure appropriate accruals and prepayments are made.
- Complete balance sheet reconciliations for monthly review, enter debtors' balances, balance sheet and
- Ensure that the property level P&L's are correct and profit share/management fees are calculated in accordance with the LL contracts.
- Assist with the preparation of audit files and assistance during the year-end audit.
- To assist with the preparation and review of the monthly reports for Landlords and property owners, ensure that amounts due/from LL's are accounted for correctly and applied against monthly owner distributions and that reports are completed and submitted and queries are addressed on a timely basis
**Requirements**:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Minimum 2 years of work experience as a Management Accountant or as an accounting specialist in a small to medium sized accounting practice.
- Having experience working at Accounting Firm
- Advanced in using Microsoft Excel
- Knowledge and experience with IFRS/PSAK would be an advantage.
- Good working knowledge of accounting systems (cloud based).
- Able to manage and prioritise time and be committed to meet deadlines for assigned tasks and deliverables.
- Meticulous with an eye for detail and have strong analytical capabilities;
- Able to work independently with minimum supervision.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, preferably in english.
- Displays initiative and a positive attitude that would contribute to a harmonious team working environment.
- A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) will be an advantage.
