Working as part of the Austrade Indonesia team, Investment NSW is recruiting for a Trade & Investment Associate Director to be based in Jakarta, Indonesia with experience in international education business development, to deliver the NSW Trade & Investment Strategy for Indonesia. Austrade is the Australian Government's trade and investment facilitation agency and supports qualified Australian businesses through their international expansion journey to go further, faster.
**Duties include**:
- Support delivery of the NSW Government's engagement strategy with new and existing in-market stakeholders, contacts and networks across education and other sectors in order to facilitate NSW education and other exports and investment outcomes for NSW.
- Support the delivery of in-market communications including assisting in establishing, developing and coordinating the NSW Government's digital and social media channels.
- Assist in planning, coordinating and implementing international education activities such as face-to-face and digital exhibitions, international education hub set-ups, agent and prospective student briefings and in
- and out-bound market visits.
- Support marketing efforts of Study NSW and other NSW-based Trade and Investment teams by delivering services to NSW education providers and companies, such as attending pre-departure briefings, providing on-the-ground support to visiting delegations, ensuring local exhibition arrangements are in place, arranging and participation in meetings and networking functions and undertaking follow-up.
- Provide input into strategy development for the attraction of international students, commercial partnerships, investment and export promotion.
- Support market research across various industry sectors, assess and compile information, contribute to the provision of strategic advice to NSW education and other industry representatives seeking to develop business relationships and develop strategic alliances with local businesses and government agencies to facilitate export, trade and investment.
- Working with NSW-based government representatives, share the work of managing and facilitating visits to market by NSW Ministers, VIPs and industry sector experts, and visits to Australia by delegations of key in-market representatives.
- Efficiently manage changing workloads with flexibility in covering education, research and other industries and large numbers of clients.
- Assist the Trade and Investment Director in delivering NSW priorities in Indonesia and NSW government engagements in Indonesia
- Contribute to knowledge creation within Austrade, by adopting information practices, sharing knowledge and information and by embracing best practice and development opportunities.
- Work collaboratively within the Austrade network to contribute to service delivery and achieve desired outcomes, while upholding the Australian Public Service (APS) Values, Employment Principles and Code of Conduct and Work Health & Safety (WHS) principles.
- Proactively identify, target and work closely with potential corporate investors into NSW from Indonesia. This could involve client recruitment, research and presentation of tailored information on industry capability and the commercial benefits of investing in NSW.
