We are currently looking for four engineers to work full-time as Project Field Officer based in Yogyakarta City, Surakarta City, Bantul District and Sleman District.

**Job Description**:
The Project Field Officer works at a sub-national level, ensuring the (quality of the) service delivery to the client or user community. Executes the local delivery of the project conform advice given by the advisor(s)/ project manager and conform SNV procedures and guidelines, making sure timelines and project standards are met. Anticipates on delivery challenges to ensure service and delivery continuity.

Key activities:

- General tasks
- Act as local representative/ contact person at city level
- Support LGs at the assignment location and conduct field visits as directed by the Field Coordinator/FC
- Assist Jakarta-based MEL Team with the collection of relevant data and related monitoring activities.
- Report monthly to the FC on developments, observed best practices, potential opportunities and risks and implementation constraints.
- Support to participating LG
- Assist with the planning and implementing of GEDSI-responsive Social Marketing and other cross-cutting activities.
- Support community engagement and the socialisation, social marketing, and GEDSI-related initiatives implemented by the local government.
- Work closely with the Field Coordinator (FC) and Jakarta-based Senior Sanitation Engineer, to review DEDs prepared by the LG
- Work closely with the Field Coordinator (FC) and Jakarta-based Sanitation Engineer, to review tender documents prepared by the LG, including terms of reference/technical specifications for construction works
- Coordinate with PPK, Construction Supervision Consultants and LG administrative personnel on timely actions considered necessary in the field
- Collaborate closely with the Baseline and Verification Team and ensure involvement of the LG and other stakeholders
- Support the LG in managing BPKP verification sampling
- Complete a regular progress report (template to be provided), and other deliverables for submission to the Field Coordinator

**Qualifications**:

- Tertiary qualifications with a major in Environmental/ Water/ Wastewater Engineering or related discipline
- Minimum 5 years' experience in sanitation sector development, especially in domestic wastewater field
- Experience in facilitating local government activities and/or community engagement in the sanitation sector
- Experience in technical design and construction supervision of infrastructure in the sanitation sector
- Familiar with social and cross-cutting issues in sanitation development
- Familiar with technical standards and output-based programs, their challenges, and opportunities
- Good verbal communication skills, in Bahasa Indonesia, and the ability to communicate with a wide range of local stakeholders, including local government, community groups representing target beneficiaries and people with special needs
