The Jakarta office has grown rapidly from a staff number in 2021 of 37 to current level of 80 staff with further growth underway and planned. The office has been successful in winning major multi-disciplinary infrastructure projects in particular in transport space, and there is a strong pipeline of opportunities. To support achieving excellence in project delivery of major transport Infrastructure projects, the Indonesian Geography wishes to invest in an experienced senior Project Manager with proven skills and capability in this field.
As Project Manager, you will be responsible for driving the successful delivery of multidisciplinary major complex infrastructure projects in the transport space (primarily road, rail focus), ensuring desired technical quality and commercial outcomes, and client satisfaction leading to repeat business.
You will have a thorough appreciation of all aspects of the project lifecycle from feasibility/scoping design through to detailed design, operations, and asset management. You will have experience working across a range of project procurement types including working directly for the end client, working for contractors and working for asset owners.
As a core part of the project's leadership team, when required, you will be responsible for the coordination of design teams across multiple offices and disciplines to ensure design packages are delivered in accordance with the contract requirements, to program, on budget and of the highest technical quality.
**The Opportunity**
- Accountable for successful delivery of major complex multi-disciplined infrastructure projects. This will require you to be responsible for all day-to-day activities and aspects of project delivery.
- You will support Business Development, Bids Preparation, Contract Negotiations, and Team Leadership activities.
- Day to day responsibility for planning and resourcing of projects as well as mentoring and supporting the development of design discipline leads and technical staff working on your projects.
- Set and meet agreed budgets and deadlines and predict and manage resources required for all project tasks. You will be accountable for commercial success of projects.
- You will be responsible for change management on projects, identifying, preparing, submitting, and negotiating variations to Arup's agreed scope, time, and cost with clients.

**Is this role right for you?**
- Recognized relevant tertiary qualifications in form of a Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, Project Management, or similar. A Master's degree will be well regarded.
- Proven track record as a Project Manager/Team Leader in project/design management of multidisciplinary major complex infrastructure projects in particular in transport space (roads, rail focus preferred), ideally in a consulting business environment.
- Experience in Project/Design Management of Design & Construct (D&C)/Design & Build (D&B) projects will be preferable.
- Chartered Membership or equivalent of a relevant professional institution/professional peer body (e.g., CEng MICE, MIEAust CPEng, PMP etc.).
- Strong technical, project planning, delivery and commercial leadership skills.
