- Analyze information to identify existing and potential issues, proposing effective solutions.
- Examine period-end and other available systems data to recognize trends, forecast future needs, and pinpoint obstacles hindering goal achievement.
- Generate regular updates on the transient segment, continuously analyzing booking patterns.
- Assist in the account diagnostics process, validating conclusions drawn.
- Maintain accurate reservation system information.
- Regularly check distribution channels for hotel positioning, information accuracy, and competitor positioning.
- Break down information or data into separate parts to identify underlying principles, reasons, or facts.
- Provide accurate and timely results in the form of reports, presentations, etc.
- Gather information from relevant sources through observation, reception, or other means.
- Ensure timely submission of reports, meeting delivery deadlines.
- Analyze weekly and monthly STAR information for past strategy analysis, identifying areas for improvement, understanding competitor set strengths, and developing strategies to capture market share.
- Utilize STAR information to contribute to the development of RevPAR Index forecasts.
- Generate yearly room revenue budgets.
- Offer critical input to property leaders in developing market sales strategy.
- Provide revenue management expertise and leadership to general managers and property leadership teams.
- Implement and evaluate revenue tests.
- Communicate and modify sales strategies and rate restrictions in response to fluctuating market conditions.
- Assist hotels with pricing and provide input on business evaluation recommendations.
- Offer recommendations to enhance the effectiveness of revenue management processes.
- Maximize revenue and profits using property diagnostic processes (PDP).
- Communicate brand initiatives, demand, and market analysis to hotels, clusters, franchise partners, and owners.
- Share market direction insights with revenue management, sales, and hotel leaders.
- Develop and maintain constructive and cooperative relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Communicate results, achievements, and challenges in a targeted and timely manner to stakeholders.
- Keep executives, peers, and subordinates informed of relevant information promptly.
- Record, store, and maintain information in written or electronic form.
- Collaborate with others to gather information necessary for managing projects, achieving goals, and resolving problems.
