A global financial services firm is looking to hire a Risk Manager (AVP - VP) for its Jakarta office. In this job, you will report directly to Managing Director.
About Risk Manager (AVP - VP) Role:
In this role you will be responsible for managing all aspects of credit portfolio from approval process to repayment, implementing credit practices, policies and procedures to maximise effectiveness of sales acquisition within acceptable risk level.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead team members within all credit aspects (i.e. credit analysis, investigation of credit submittals, structure and recommend credit facility, oversee relevant credit information, approval of account modifications and execute documents within authority oversee implementation of credit policy and procedures, and credit offerings)
Initiate new procedures and recommends new policies as work conditions change
Negotiate documentation of complex transactions and ensures all standard documentation is compliant. Serve as a liaison between the marketing staff and legal department regarding documentation changes and modification. Oversee the administration, booking process and funding of documented transactions
Assist in the preparation of the office’s annual business plan and budget, establish OKR, and review progress toward their achievement
Direct the preparation of the region office past due report. Approve additions, deletions, and modifications to potential credit loss report. Forecast delinquency and losses and analyses trends for use by management
Maintain goodwill while administering the company's policies and procedures through dealings with external stakeholders
Ensure and manage proper training and instruction for the team on system, identifies training and development needs of team and implements an annual training program. Manages all issues including mentoring, performance evaluations, disciplinary actions, hiring, and employment separations
Ensure the successful liquidation of portfolio and coordinate these efforts with the headquarters' legal counsel
Manage things related to customer requests, local staffing, and headquarters support and oversee the quality of customer service at the subsidiary
Sell repossessed and off-lease assets to minimise losses or produce positive contributions to the subsidiary’s margin objectives in line with the re-marketing policy. Communicate with external stakeholders
Participate in accomplishment of continuous improvement objectives for the department and participate in the identification of problem areas and development of resolutions to address them
Understand the equal opportunity and harassment policies of the company, applies them in all aspects of management and maintains an environment, which is consistent with these policies

To succeed in the Risk Manager (AVP - VP) job, you will need to have a minimum of three years of experience leading a credit department.
Key Requirements:
Minimum bachelor's degree (preferably someone from an overseas university or has worked overseas before)
Minimum of three years' experience leading a credit department
Minimum of eight years' experience working in a credit department
Must have experience working for a bank or finance company and in financing construction/heavy equipment
Demonstrated knowledge of finance products, policies, procedures, market and make recommendations. Subsequently, also able to analyse the financial status of customers, financial modelling and forecasting techniques
Demonstrated knowledge of commercial law, accounting, and HR policies to apply managerial and leadership skills to develop and motivate personnel
Able to speak, read and write fluently in both English and Bahasa Indonesia
Able to apply problem solving and decision-making skills
Willingness to travel
