**Job Description and Qualifications**
Rotoflow - Aftermarket Machinery Engineer - Field Service Team

- Having the ability to influence existing product designs and new design best practices by providing valuable aftermarket feedback to the new product group
- Interfacing with regional support facilities and Air Products staff located in Europe, Middle-East, Africa, Asia, and the Americas
**DETAILED RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Provide remote technical troubleshooting for Rotoflow customers to successfully resolve operational problems or provide a pathway for technical escalation
- Provide remote technical support for Rotoflow Field Service personnel when required
- Travel to customer sites when engineering troubleshooting, diagnostics, or investigation is required, such as complex commissioning and startup of new products, warranty or failure investigations requiring in-depth Root Cause Analysis, detailed mechanical and aerodynamic performance assessments including measurements and plant data monitoring, or other field support activities. General expectation for travel is around 25%, however, this can vary and will involve planned and unplanned activities
- Lead and facilitate Root Cause Analysis efforts, working with other stakeholders to establish robust cause and effect diagrams, gathering evidence and fact-based information to help narrow down causal paths, and use good judgment to identify corrective and preventive actions, and to help drive those actions in collaboration with technical and commercial stakeholders. Develop technical reports and summaries for customers and help customers understand findings and recommendations
- Own fleet reliability information and technical feedback received from field support activities, as well as information garnered from customer repairs. Collate and analyze information specific to customer assets but also across the fleet to feed and identify opportunities for reliability or upgrade opportunities both for external and internal customers. Help develop robust reliability database. Drive regular touchpoints with commercial teams and internal stakeholders such as product owners to allow for effective and efficient transfer of product and technical knowledge, and maintain visibility of efforts stemming from that feedback
- Help Field Service Manager maintain and report out key metrics around technical troubleshooting, field support, and RCA's
- When needed, travel to Rotoflow service centers to provide direct support of repairs and upgrades, either in support of investigations, or as a flex resource supporting repairs if required
- Working with the Field Services Global Functional Owner and Field Service Manager, help develop procedures, processes, and standards for servicing a variety of turbomachinery products in the field, and develop appropriate training modules for the field service team
- Support the proposal team in developing and reviewing technical scope and cost for repairs and field services
- Help ensure individuals supporting field activities are qualified, provide training and helping create training programs and efforts as necessary
- Support continuous improvement efforts focused on improving reliability and customer value,
- Demonstrate exceptional responsiveness and work ethic in supporting customers to meet deadlines and expectations
**QUALIFICATIONS**
- BSME, MSME or related technical degree
- Five or more years of experience with turbomachinery or related technologies
- Methodical, data and fact driven decision making approach
- Experience leading RCA's and detailed understanding of methodologies and how to facilitate
- Detailed engineering experience with all types of rotating and reciprocating equipment
- Detailed, knowledge of turbomachinery, accessory systems, and related technologies
- Thorough understanding of how equipment is assembled, operated, and maintained
- Understanding of general machinery commissioning, troubleshooting, and servicing best practices
- Understanding of control systems and instrumentation for successful commissioning and troubleshooting turbomachinery
- Flexibility, agility, and desire to take on new responsibilities as needed
- Excellent attention to detail, organization, and self-motivation, and passion to creatively solve customer problems
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Willingness to collaborate openly with a diverse group of internal and external customers
- Ability to efficiently prioritize many tasks, adapt to changing priorities and escalate resource gaps to management
- Excellent problem solving and decision-making skills; including an understanding of when to escalate both technical and administrative decisions
