**A day in the life!**
**Pre-Sales**
- Develops customer proposals, prepares customer presentations, and negotiates and closes contracts
- Prepares and present seminars to a wide array of audiences, and attend conferences as a speaker
- Performs product demonstrations at customer or company sites, and develops technical selling strategies
**Other Roles & Responsibilities**
- Facilitates troubleshooting cases and provide vital support to customers to resolve customer issues & complaints in the field
- Coordinates cross-functional engagements for significant situations that require outstanding and/or urgent response from customer facing team members
- Provides and continuously update channel partners and customer contact with relevant information.
- Participates actively to support sales activities, and report field activities/technical trends on a regular basis to Channel manager and Channel partners.
- Stays current on scientific and industry trends and innovations
**Key to Success**:
**Education**
- MS or PhD in life science is strongly preferred
**Experience**
- Requires a minimum of 3+ years of laboratory or related work experience, 2+ years of customer-facing role; Working with Applied Biosystems QPCR instruments, assay and software preferred
- Experience providing technical and scientific presentations to wide range of audience is crucial. Experience in a clinical, diagnostics market is additive.
- Demonstrated experience in identifying and developing sales leads, making professional presentations, running the sales process through close, and handling all aspects of contract negotiations.
**Knowledge, Skills, Abilities**
- Excellent oral / written communication and presentation skills in English are a necessity.
- Excellent communication skills in order to handle and fully integrate with Operations, Finance, and Marketing, and follow-up to expand relationships and business opportunities.
