As a Sales Manager HPR Southeast Asia for Process Automation business, you will be responsible for defining and implementing the sales and marketing strategies for High Power Rectifier (HPR) Business Unit (BU) and its industrial solutions in SEA region, ensuring that the HPR BU substantially increases sales, margins, market share and customer satisfaction. Reporting to Sales Manager, you will be managing and leading sales activities in the region and support/manage resolution of specific customer needs and challenges. This position is based in Jakarta, Indonesia.
**Your responsibilities**:
- Understanding the key business drivers of the relevant customer accounts in the SEA region. Understanding business environment and interprets the impact and opportunity for ABB in the region
- Defining and proposing sales targets for the main customers (accounts) and ensuring their achievement with a structured follow up process. Selling products/solutions/services to customers, focusing on volume, mix and profitability given by business unit
- Researching and analyzing sales potential relating to OEM's, metal, mining and chemical customers. Monitoring industry trends, market activities and competitive environment to identify potential improvements as well as opportunities for new products and solutions
- Monitoring competitors' activity with the account and ensuring that appropriate response strategies are formulated and implemented. Giving input on market and price developments to global product management and marketing
- Acting as a consultant and understanding the needs of the customer to evolve technical solutions across the table. Understanding customer needs in the market by visiting customers
- Implementing global standards, rules, tools, policies, and processes related to sales and operations and share functional best practices and lessons learned across the organization
- Ensuring that the area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed, and directed. Building in his/her area of responsibility and ownership an effective, capable, and high performing organization
**Your background**:
- Bachelor's degree in electrical or electronics engineering required at a minimum
- Minimum of 5 years' related experience in large-project sales
- Regional knowledge of markets and accounts (HPR SEA region)
- Industry knowledge e.g., aluminum, steel, ferroalloy, electrochemical, graphitization etc
- Good knowledge of electrical, power-electronics and HV power equipment as well as indoor/outdoor substations and requirements related to green
- and brownfield plants
- Proven senior stakeholder management with the ability to build and foster relationships
- Excellent communication skills and finely honed presentation skills
