**Senior Proposal Engineer**:

As a Senior Proposal Engineer for Process Automation business, you will be responsible for being active part of the implementation of hub service support strategy, preparing the bidding of service projects within countries under hub Asia, to achieve both qualitative and quantitative KPIs for service products and deliverables, in a profitable way. Reporting to Local Service Manager / General Manager, you will be working with the CoC (Center of Competence team) and OPC (Global Operations Center team) to deliver the technical solutions. This position is based in Jakarta, Indonesia.
**Your responsibilities**:
- Formulating competitive bids/estimates/quotations, considering best available service offering mix and appropriate technical and commercial considerations for each individual situation
- Managing the preparation of all technical (e.g., defining the most suitable technology and product type(s)), financial (e.g., total price sheet, cash flow analysis) and if necessary, project management (e.g., quantifies hours of engineering and commissioning) aspects of the bid/estimate/quotation, indicating prices and trading conditions
- Ensuring that inputs for editing activities are provided on time and according to established quality procedures. Managing external services to support bid/estimation preparation such as translations and governmental approvals
- Understanding ABB's sales and bidding processes and always adhere to the guidelines. Participating in tender screening and support bid/no-bid decisions. Assuring the BAT are respected when needed
- Collecting and archiving documentation regarding the offer/order and records assumptions and decisions taken during the development process
- Identifying potential risks in the bids, quotations and estimates, and in any related contract agreements across customers/channels. Providing information and/or participates in the risk review process in accordance with ABB policy
- Responsible for collecting and collating all information needed to prepare the proposal, including both technical and cost elements
- Collaborating across team-mates, functions, countries and regions, and uphold ABB values - Care, Curiosity, Collaboration and Courage, while keeping integrity and safety as foundation
**Your background**:
- Major in Automation or Electrical Engineering or any equivalent qualification.
- More than 5 years working experience as sales support in power generation, water, chemical, refining, oil & gas and other energy-related industries
- Strong knowledge of the control system market (DCS) and Electrical and what customers desire from a control systems vendor supplying state of the art technology and services
- Ability to manage multiple tasks while sticking to strict deadlines
- Capable to work in an agile environment supporting and collaborating with other team members
- Excellent English communication skills, both in verbal and written
