Global Finance is integral to HSBC's purpose and strategy, playing a valued role in managing costs and deploying capital in the most effective way. Our global team of finance professionals partner with the business to provide trusted insights and forward looking analysis; accuracy; efficiency and control to frame and influence business decisions.
We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join this team in the role of **Supervisor Accounting Control**.
**Responsibilities**:
- Coordinate monthly reconciliation and substantiation process for bank-wide GL accounts and ensure minimum standard of the processes are met.
- Ensure all exceptions are investigated and cleared properly and timely escalation when necessary.
- Coordinate with other division within the bank for any GL testing/enhancement which might be needed to meet business requirement.
- Achieve zero high risk audit finding and able to strengthen team skills with high quality of individual performance.
- Support the implementation of new local policies and best practice from Group.
- Provide strong support to internal stakeholder for all GL system related problems.
- Engage and maintain good relationship with both internal and external parties including business/function teams, regional support team and auditors.
Qualifications
**To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements**:
- Undergraduate degree in Accounting/Finance.
- Minimum 1-2 years relevant working experiences in banking or financial industry.
- Strong analytical skill.
- Be able to engage, work collaboratively within the Finance Function as well as other stakeholders across Global Businesses and Global Functions.
- Strong interpersonal skills, motivation and energy levels.
- Proactive, Self-Driven willing to go above and beyond to assist in achieving high quality outcomes, shows initiatives in understanding issues and looking for solutions with an eye for details.
- Basic knowledge of banking products, system process and controls.
