About the role
**What you need to know**:
This role assists the underwriters by screening risk offerings. The role also performs operation & services including involved risk, problem solving, or research on projects requiring broad insurance and/or procedural knowledge and works under direct supervision.
Evaluate new and renewal policies and endorsements against prescribed criteria before issuing the policy.
Issues policies, endorsements, and cancellations; prepares policy writing instructions and premium billings; and processes individual policy filings.
Communicates with producers, insureds, bureaus, etc. to ensure common understanding, rating, and issuing policies, endorsements, and quotations; and resolves procedural and computational problems involving lengthy, multi-location, or difficult risk.
Assists the underwriter in the preparation of business, line reports, and agency analysis; assists in the review of procedures to resolve issues; and trains and instructs lower-level Assistants and Clerks.
The role includes access to all Casualty customer and producer data and direct liaison where required.
The role also uses core company systems to record policy and financial information.
**What we are looking for**:
Bachelor's Degree in any major.
Proficient in MS Excel, Word, and Outlook
A proven track record of excellent customer service skills
Having well organized, efficient and able to work independently.
Ability to handle multiple tasks and efficiently prioritize.
