Ensure that the commercial value of all Walt Disney Studio Motion Pictures (WDSMP) releases in the country is fully exploited. WDSMP distributes all theatrical titles from, among others, Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Lucasfilm, 20th Century and Searchlight. The department collaborates closely with other teams within the Studio and other businesses to guarantee that WDSMP films are given the best possible theatrical release. The sales environment can be pressured, numbers-oriented, and frequently deadline-driven.
Areas of responsibilities:
- Provide day-to-day account management over the TWDC Studio Licensee
- Develop, manage, and supervise all elements of the relationship with exhibitors - such as:
- Print placement, booking and hold-over negotiations (in partnership with the Licensee)
- Settlement terms negotiations (in partnership with the Licensee)
- Promotions/Pricing and cooperative advertising initiatives (in partnership with marketing and partnerships teams)
- Dispute resolution and potential legal action (with the business affairs team)
- Box Office Reporting compliance - particularly ensuring that WDSMP obtains its fair share of any 'additional' fees and digital-related ticket price increases (in partnership with the Licensee).
- Trailering and in-theatre strategies (in partnership with the Licensee)
- Systems
- Provide post-screening feedback and communicate proactively and objectively back to Studio stakeholders on box office potential and factors that could positively/negatively impact upcoming releases.
- Release Scheduling - Identifying the best theatrical release dating approach (within the context of broader APAC objectives and the competitive environment) for all titles and updating/reviewing date changes on an ongoing basis.
- Management and oversight of all Walt Disney Studios Motions Pictures (WDSMP) competitive, external and internal sales reporting requirements
- With the Finance Team and Planning and Reporting Team:
- Monitor and Manage Film Performance - using prior title and competitor comparisons - including ultimate estimation
- Manage weekly and weekend reports.
- Manage exhibitor market shares and film /print profitability reviews.
- Partner closely with and display a wholly synergised approach with the studio marketing teams to ensure that strategies are entirely aligned, communicated and understood.
**Requirements**:
- Account management experience in a numbers driven environment and proven negotiation skills
- Extensive sales experience within the Film Distribution Industry
- Experience of managing exhibitor relationships - preferably within the Indonesian industry - is essential
- A passion for films
- Effective planning and organization skills, ability to multi-task
