Position overview Are you passionate about working in a laboratory setting, focusing on formulation preparation, material characterization, coating application, and benchmarking? We are looking for an Application Chemist to join our team in Jakarta, Indonesia. This is a 2-year contract position where you will have the opportunity to deeply understand our Additives portfolio.

Responsibilities Gain a deep understanding of our current Additives portfolio, focusing on product performance and usage in trending market applications. Provide technical information to the Application team and regional TSBDs. Address technical questions and customer requests, including conducting lab tests or consulting experts. Support TSBDs in delivering technical support to internal and external customers, recommending existing products or creating new solutions. Develop technical value propositions and lead product positioning. Contribute to cross-functional teams for new product development. Develop technical options to meet project goals. Plan and organize technical aspects of projects, meeting agreed deliverables. Required skills and experience Minimum 2-3 years of experience in coating formulation Hands-on lab experience in formulations, material characterization, coating application, and benchmarking. Familiar with the coating industry customer base. Strong communication skills, especially in understanding customer issues and communicating solutions. Proficient in spoken and written English. Skilled in experimental planning, data analysis, record-keeping, and reporting. Experience with amino crosslinkers, powder coating resins, or radiation-curable coatings is a plus.
