Provide clear visual direction for the project, overseeing the overall artistic style and ensuring consistency. Developing colour palettes, typography, graphic elements, photography, illustrations, and other visual components, including visual merchandising strategy.
Collaborate with managers, designers, writers, other marketing team members, and external stakeholders to ensure the appropriate concepts, themes, and messages are represented effectively and consistently for the business objective(s) and audience(s).
Strong conceptual, graphic design, type, and page layout skills for projects ranging from print to interactive to broadcast.
Stay on top of the latest standards, processes, and trends in the visual design field.
Developing visual displays, signs, interior displays, floor plans and special promotional displays.
Oversee the production process, working closely with production teams and suppliers, printers, or developers to ensure the final product matches the artistic vision and quality standards.
Lead and manage creative teams, providing guidance, feedback, and support to foster a collaborative and inspiring work environment, encouraging open communication, and promoting the exchange of ideas and feedback among team members.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring they stay on track and meet deadlines. Coordinate resources, budgets, and timelines to ensure the smooth execution of the creative process.
Conduct thorough reviews and quality checks of visual assets, designs, and layouts to ensure they meet the project's requirements and standards. They provide constructive feedback to the creative team, guiding them towards achieving the desired artistic outcome. Art directors are responsible for maintaining consistency, brand guidelines, and visual excellence across all project deliverables.
