The ideal candidate will be responsible for crafting high-quality gelato and sorbet using traditional Italian methods and recipes. This role requires a blend of culinary skills, creativity, and a deep understanding of flavour combinations.
Key Responsibilities: Prepare gelato and sorbet following traditional Italian recipes and techniques. Select and source high-quality, fresh ingredients. Operate and maintain gelato-making equipment. Experiment with new flavours and recipes, while respecting the traditional gelato-making process. Ensure hygiene and food safety standards are met at all times. Collaborate with the team to develop seasonal menus. Assist in managing inventory and ordering supplies. Engage with customers, providing recommendations and answering questions about our products. Requirements: Proven experience as a Gelato Maker or in a similar role in a professional kitchen. Familiarity with traditional Italian gelato-making techniques. A passion for gelato and an understanding of flavour pairings. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Excellent time management and organisational skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Good communication and teamwork skills. High school diploma or equivalent; culinary training is a plus.
