Assistant Project Manager – Technical Services (Capital Works & Asset Health) Duties: Assist in initial and ongoing consultation with end users and among the in-house project team members, consultants and contractors, providing technical advices to the end-users and developing project brief documents clearly articulating the key objectives and scope of the projects. Assist in planning and implementing capital projects, alteration & addition works and renovation projects assigned to achieve time, cost and quality objectives Assist in coordinating technical design development process Undertaking day to day management and coordinating with in-house Functional Support Team, multi-disciplinary consultants and different BUs on all on-going projects Assist in internal co-ordination of matters related to the projects such as facilities management, health, safety & sustainability, education, human resources, finance, communication and admissions to ensure that project deliverables are achieved. Assist in site supervision for the projects assigned, throughout the construction stage to final handover stage for day-to-day management, coordination and monitoring of the quality of workmanship of contractors. Assist in managing the material and work quality inspection / testing and commissioning processes in conjunction with in-house Functional Support Team, external consultants and contractors to ensure the works delivered are in good quality. Assist in managing procurement and tendering processes for appointing multi-disciplinary consultants and contractors. Assist in assessing and recommending progress payment for consultants and contractors Assist in maintaining complete set of on-site records for effective cost control and for final account purposes. Assist in managing project close out from the owner's perspective, including managing the handover / snagging process and ensuring full set of as-built drawings / O&M manuals / warranty documentation are in place and in order. Attend meetings as necessary and produce notes / minutes for record purposes. Preparing and providing regular project status reports and presentations to the Project Manager and Senior Project Manager. Requirements: Minimum 5 to 7 years of relevant Post Graduate experience Bachelor's degree in a related field or relevant technical subject Ability to work under pressure and meet aggressive deadlines Application of project management techniques Ability to follow established standards Ability to manage crisis and recommend an emergency plan Fluency in oral, written English, Cantonese (desirable) Excellent interpersonal skills Excellent organisational skills Knowledgeablein: Applies good understanding of HKSAR building codes and standards. Applies good knowledge of construction practice and safety rules. Applied good knowledge of procurement and tendering processes. Applies good understanding of building contract administrations.
