HSBC Digital Business Services (DBS) is a pivotal part of the Group, providing essential operational and technical support to our global businesses and helping improve customer service and efficiency. DBS combines global expertise and technology to help keep us ahead of the competition.
We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join this team in the role of **Associate Manager Chief Technology Office Enterprise Infrastructure**.**
**Responsibilities**:
- Implement database environment according to the project requirement and global database implementation standard, including Patrol Alert and Disaster Recovery options
- Work closely with the vendor to install, operate and maintain database environments to ensure security, availability, capacity planning and ever-greening.
- Provide technical consultancy in database design, architecture, and project planning.
- Work closely with / contribute to the global DBA team in driving for standardization and support for global initiatives and projects. These include globalized standard inventory and license usage reporting.
- Participate in incident / crisis / after office hours on-call support to provide speedy recovery of service and the subsequent root cause analysis and the implementation of improvement actions.
- Maintain technical and reference documentation.
**Hard Skills**
- Extensive hands-on experience in Microsoft SQL, Oracle, postgre SQL and DB2 database administration including configuration / maintenance / monitoring / backup & recover
- in-depth knowledge in Data warehouse technology and Business Intelligence area
- Experience in performance monitoring / tuning for Database.
- Good knowledge in any BI tools like DataStage, Cognos and SAS.
- Familiar with working on the Unix / Linux OS platform, with experience on shell script development
- Knowledge in BMC Patrol, xMatters, Control-M is preferred.
- SQL writing knowledge
- Some project management experience is an advantage.
**Soft Skills**
- Good command of both written and spoken English
- A proactive personality with self-motivation. Good analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skill
- Able to work effectively under pressure.
- Good in documentation and administration filing
- Responsible, Smart Working and willing to work outside 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. including weekend and holiday when needed, willing to travel if demanded.
- Focus and capable deliver High Quality results.
- Capable working in group or individual
Qualifications
**Qualification and Experience Requirement**:
- Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or related discipline
- Minimum 3-5 years working experience in Database fields.
- Microsoft SQL, Oracle Certified Professional or other technology certification is preferred but not mandatory.
