Global Legal plays an important role in protecting the Group's reputation by helping to future-proof the organization through robust legal risk and issue advisory. Responsible for providing comprehensive legal advice to senior management and all global businesses and functions, the team offers a diverse range of legal skills, jurisdictional experience and practice specialisms across all countries and territories in which our businesses operate.
We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join this team in the role of **Associate Vice President **Legal Counsel Wholesale Banking**
**Responsibilities**:
- Advising on legal related matters to support Wholesale Banking Business (e.g core trade & structured trade product (preferred), core lending, syndicated & clubs, daily wholesale banking operational matters, pre-litigation and litigation, non-performing loan)
- Acting as a trusted adviser by ensuring commercially sensitive, pragmatic and practical legal support and advice is provided in a cost-effective manner
- Handle commercial contracts and Bank's templates to support Wholesale Banking Business
- Provide legal review, advise and support the day-to-day business conduct of Wholesale Banking Business;
- Manage Legal Risks within Wholesale Banking Business, affecting the Bank and the Group
- Prepare and update business policies and procedures relate to legal matters, taking into account changes in relevant laws and regulations as well as Group's policies
Qualifications
**To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements**:
- Degree holder in law
- Holding an advocate licence is preferred
- At least 7-10 years of experience in advising legal related matters in wholesale banking business, in particular core trade & structured trade product (preferred), core lending, syndicated & clubs
- Extensive knowledge of Indonesian laws and regulations, including basic commercial laws.
- Good drafting skills (contracts, correspondences) and attentive to details
- Excellent problem-solving, strategical thinking and effective negotiation
- Good interpersonal and communication skills, with good level of fluency in English and Indonesia (written and verbal)
- Demonstrate the highest levels of professionalism, integrity and collaboration
- Self-motivated, excellent to work independently and colllaborate within group; ability to work effectively with varied stakeholders and to drive result.
