**About the role**:
- Work Location: Vietnam
- Reporting To: VP Taste, APMEA
- Travel: 30% (or more)
**Key responsibilities**:
**Customer Interface (Driving Value)**
- Support sales as technology POC where required to understand the customer need and to navigate Kerry technologies to deliver value
- New customers / new opportunities with existing customers: Responsible for leading the development of opportunity (incl. first POC with customer if appropriate)
- Represent Kerry at external forums where needed
- Internal sales: Optimize the opportunities for growth of technologies into systems
**Technology Collection Optimization**:
- Drive performance of the collection in the BU through customer differentiation and margin, leverage the breadth and depth to build value and drive market growth in line with EUM strategies within the region
- Where product portfolio optimization impacts the customer, BDs support the communication planning and supporting messaging to the AM/customer and are accountable that relevant communication around FT Portfolio changes are executed appropriately across all stakeholders and managed
**Pricing and Margin Management**:
- Work with relevant stakeholders (product management and pricing) to ensure pricing strategies are aligned with technology margin expectations and address issues
- Partner with regional sales teams and Commercial Finance to support the execution of pricing strategy.
- Provide market feedback on pricing, market trends, customer and competitor insights
**Innovation**:
- Global innovation Execution: BD will support the launch & generate excitement in region for new innovations including sales training, execution plans and positioning with customers
- Inform and influence innovation pipeline by understanding competitor and external product technology market aligned to global and regional EUM strategies
**Pipeline Management**:
- Support AMs in the relevant market and channel commercial leadership in developing and executing the opportunity pipeline by positioning the added value of Kerry technologies in line with customer insight /market trends
- Pipeline conversion - align the appropriate resources and ensure clear action plans to deliver the project.
- Business development to support innovation pipeline creation and execution
**Product & Growth Strategy**:
- Inform product strategy based on regional trends and customer and competitor knowledge
- Leverage product strategy and collaborate with relevant EUM or commercial leaders in market
- Provide clear market positioning and right to win for the technology including acquisitions
- Responsible for the commercial campaign strategy
**Qualifications and skills**:
- Bachelor's Degree in Food science, Food Technology or equivalent.
- Minimum 10 years in a Commercial/Business Development role within the Food Ingredient or Flavour industry.
- Compulsory to have strong technical knowledge & exposure in R&D setting.
- Highly motivated to win new business. Ability to identify gap areas & opportunities with a strong execution skill
- Experience of working cross functionally with R&D, Operations and Finance in a highly complex, matrix environment
- Willingness to travel within the region to connect platform technologies including customer visits
- Proven leadership skills to drive business strategy, and to drive business internally
- Fluent in in both Local and English Language
