Business Development Manager Of Mining Contruction

The Business Development Manager for construction in the mining industry is responsible for identifying and pursuing growth opportunities, building strategic partnerships, and driving business expansion in the construction and engineering sectors within the mining industry. This role requires a deep understanding of both construction and mining refinery/processing operations.

**Responsibilities**:
1. **Market Analysis**: Conduct comprehensive market research to identify trends, opportunities, and potential threats within the construction segment of the mining sector (especially nickel, copper industry)

2. **New Business Development**: Identify and cultivate new business prospects, strategic alliances, and partnerships in the construction and mining industries.

3. **Client Relationship Management**: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients and key industry stakeholders, ensuring customer satisfaction and repeat business. Including the industry stakeholders and related government institutions.

4. **Sales and Revenue Growth**: Develop and implement sales strategies to meet and exceed revenue targets through the acquisition of construction projects in the mining sector.

5. **Project Evaluation**: Assess construction projects for feasibility and profitability, evaluating risks and potential return within the mining industry.

6. **Contract Negotiation**: Lead negotiations for contracts, joint ventures, and partnership agreements, ensuring favorable terms and conditions.

7. **Regulatory Compliance**: Stay up-to-date with industry regulations, safety standards, permits, and compliance requirements for construction in the mining sector.

8. **Team Collaboration**: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, legal and finance, to execute construction projects successfully.

9. **Market Positioning**: Develop and implement a marketing strategy to enhance the company's visibility and reputation within the construction and mining industries.

**Requirements**:
1. **Education**: Bachelor's degree in Business, Civil Engineering, or Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field from top university. A Master's degree may be preferred.

2. **Experience**: A minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in business development, sales, or marketing, with a focus on construction or technology within the mining industry.

3. **Industry Knowledge**: In-depth understanding of mining processes, construction methods, equipment, technologies, and industry trends.

4. **Network**: A strong network of industry contacts, including mining companies, construction contractors, suppliers, and regulatory bodies.

5. **Negotiation Skills**: Proficiency in contract negotiation, with a track record of successful deals in construction projects within the mining sector.

6. **Analytical Skills**: Strong analytical skills to evaluate project feasibility and profitability.

7. **Communication**: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for building and maintaining client relationships and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

8. **Regulatory Compliance**: Knowledge of mining regulations, safety standards, permitting processes, and construction compliance to ensure legal and safe operations.

9. **Teamwork**: Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple construction projects within the mining industry.

10. **Results-driven**: A proven track record of achieving and exceeding business development and revenue targets in the context of construction in mining.

11. **Adaptability**: The mining industry and construction projects can be dynamic; the ability to adapt to changing market conditions and opportunities is essential.
