**Position Title**

Teacher - ACG School Jakarta

**Reports To**

**Location**

**Working hours**

7.30am - 4.00pm (Monday to Friday)

**KEY OBJECTIVES OF THE POSITION**:

- To teach effectively
- To complete administrative tasks efficiently
- To set standards and assist students as required
- To oversee the needs of students

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:
**Professional Knowledge**
- To complete the teaching and assessment programs at appropriate levels as required

**Professional Development**
- To take responsibility for being up-to-date with developments in technology and its use in the classroom
- To accept and/or participate in performance appraisals

**Teaching Techniques**
- To take responsibility for the learning environment and the conditions for orderly and effective teaching
- To prepare resource and assessment material as required
- To assess work thoroughly according to the assessment schedules or other School policies
- To set appropriate projects and additional work for students to do outside normal School classes

**Student Management**
- To provide learning experiences which maximise academic progress
- To manage student behaviour effectively
- To support the School standards in relation to student behaviour

**Motivation of Students**
- To encourage appropriate study and independent learning skills in students
- To provide additional academic and pastoral support as needed for students.

**Effective Communication**
- To report to and meet with parents as required
- To action promptly, thoroughly and accurately the completion of required returns, forms or procedures
- To maintain an attendance record as required
- To adhere to such accounting procedures as may be applicable and requested
- To provide schemes of work and assessment schedules as required.

**Homeroom/Advisor Responsibilities**
- To provide oversight of students within the assigned group
- To communicate with parents as required
- To complete administration tasks as required in relation to these responsibilities.

**Contribution to the Wider School**
- To attend and assist at School 'Open Days' as requested

**Any other duties as instructed by the Principal**
- All full-time teachers are assigned up to a maximum teaching load of 32 periods (out of 40) per week.
- All full-time teachers are required to complete yard duty supervision (usually 3 x 20 minutes per week) each week.
- It is expected that all teachers attend Parent/Teacher/Student Conference sessions and Student Led Conference sessions.
- It is expected that all teachers attend School Open Days.
- All teachers are expected to attend meetings / briefings on Monday 7.30am (whole school)
- All teachers are expected to attend Wednesday 3:00pm - 4:00pm (section and department meetings as required).
- All teachers will be expected to take on Homeroom / Advisory responsibilities if assigned.

**PERSONAL SPECIFICATION**:
**To be successful you will have**:

- Previous experience in the education sector (desirable)
- Relevant tertiary qualification (required)
- A high level of analytical skills, systems/data analysis and a strong attention to detail
- Effective written and oral communication skills
- Strong ethical and moral values
- Ability to meet deadlines

Pay: Up to Rp1,540,000,000 per month
