**Act to End Neglected Tropical Diseases | East**

The Global Health Division (GHD), within the International Development Group (IDG), works in Malaria and Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTDs); Global Health Security and Public Health Preparedness; Noncommunicable Diseases; and Health Systems Strengthening - including Health Governance, Health Finance, Human Resources for Health, Capacity Building, and Health Policy and Advocacy. We address a range of public health problems to reduce disparities, lower disease burdens, and build locally owned sustainable health programs.

RTI implements the USAID Act to End Neglected Tropical Diseases | East program (Act | East; 2018-2026). Act | East is recruiting a Chief of Party (COP) to provide senior technical and managerial leadership and oversight of RTI's NTD activities in Indonesia.

The COP will be responsible for providing high-level strategic and technical support to the Government of Indonesia (GOI)'s Ministry of Health (MOH) in its implementation of NTD activities in line with the MOH's Decree on Filariasis Elimination (the government's guiding strategic document). The COP will be responsible for all oversight of RTI's NTD work in Indonesia and the management of the Act | East Indonesia team. The COP will lead technical and operations initiatives to ensure the highest quality programming. The COP will also ensure effective project and financial management including the submission of program deliverables and contractual obligations on a timely basis. The COP will coordinate with RTI Headquarters and Regional Office, Act | East consortium partners, USAID offices, the World Health Organization, and other NTD and development partners.

**Project Management**
- Oversee all RTI activities in support of the GOI's lymphatic filariasis (LF) elimination goals.
- Provide strategic advice and support to the GOI to ensure platforms and processes are in place to achieve elimination of LF in line with national and international goals.
- Support the GOI to identify key barriers to elimination and develop, implement, and review plans to overcome them. These will include expanding laboratory capacity, increasing program treatment coverage, reaching 'must reach' populations, and exploring synergies with other public and private health and development initiatives in the country.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with the GOI at national and sub-national levels, built on trust and mutual respect.
- Work with the GOI, Act | East consortium partners, and Act | East HQ to develop annual work plans and budgets.
- Provide support to the GOI's national, regional, and district authorities for timely and effective implementation of NTD activities, ensuring that all activities are implemented in accordance with work plans, budgets, and global technical guidelines.
- Act as bank signatory and in other capacities to meet project obligations.
- Provide regular updates to Act | East HQ team on all project activities.
- Lead the preparation of high-quality project documents, including annual workplans and semi-annual reports.
- Develop and manage mechanisms for coordination and collaboration with other partners and grantees.
- Equip the GOI to conduct strong supervision and monitoring for all programmatic activities.
- Work with RTI operations team at HQ, Regional Office, and in-country to monitor project activities and spending to ensure proper activity planning and procurements that meet USAID financial and management reporting guidelines.
- Facilitate a culture of learning and using data for planning and adapting program strategy and activities. Including sharing lessons from Indonesia with other countries in the Act | East portfolio, and with the wider health and development community.
- Liaise with Act | East communications team and donors to document and promote project accomplishments and innovation in blogs, peer-reviewed journals, and other media, in close consultation with communications team members.
- Work with RTI communications and operations team to ensure all activities adhere to relevant organizational and project branding & marking guidelines.
