As the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at Mad Monkey Hostels, you will play a crucial role in defining and implementing the company's technology strategy. You will oversee all aspects of the technology infrastructure, including our digital platforms, IT systems, and support services. This role requires you to ensure that all technology components operate smoothly, efficiently, and securely, supporting our business goals and customer experience.
- You will lead the design and architecture of technology solutions and manage the technical operations team, which includes IT support and system administration. A key responsibility is acting as the super admin user on Google Workspace, ensuring that all company data and communication tools are properly managed, secure, and in line with industry best practices.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive technology strategy that aligns with business goals and objectives.
- Manage and maintain internal IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, hardware, and software.
- Act as the super admin user on Google Workspace, ensuring proper configuration, security, and user management.
- Lead the technology team to ensure smooth operations and provide technical support to internal users.
- Implement data collection, storage, and usage strategies that drive enterprise value and ensure data security and compliance.
- Oversee global technology resources, including in-house development, IT support, and outsourced services.
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and use the OKR framework to measure technology team performance.
- Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to maintain a competitive edge.
- Advocate for a Scrum/Agile development approach to ensure efficient product delivery and continuous improvement.Foster a culture of collaboration and open communication among technology, product, and business teams.
**SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS**:
- Master's degree in a technology-related field or equivalent work experience.
- At least five years of experience in a senior technology leadership role, with proven success in managing technology teams.
- Experience with IT infrastructure, system administration, and IT support services.
- Strong background in software architecture, including microservices, database design, and cloud-based infrastructure.
- Knowledge of Google Workspace and experience with super admin responsibilities.
- Experience in the hospitality or travel industry is a significant advantage.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Demonstrated experience in data analytics and AI/ML technologies.
- Strong strategic thinking skills and ability to lead technology projects from concept to completion.
