**Communication Manager**

As a **Communication Manager **you'll play a pivotal role in delivering life-changing medicines to patients.
**Job Summary**:
You'll be responsible to develop relationships with relevant patient-support organisations and oversee patient advocacy and patient access related initiatives. In addition, you'll be responsible for all aspects of internal and external communications inclusive of public affairs. You'll develop programs and campaigns for various forms of communication, and act as an expert support to a functional area in one or more types of communication or corporate affairs work.
**Main Duties & Responsibilities**:
- Works with healthcare partners, industry and government agencies in using both conventional and innovative approaches to establish meaningful partnerships aimed at establishing the company's corporate reputation and driving optimal access of our innovative medicines to patients
- Contributes to strategic engagements with key internal or external groups, such as brand teams, not-for-profit patients organisations, charities, government lobbyists and regulators
- Contributes to multiple Corporate Affairs and communications projects to communicate important corporate messages to internal and external stakeholders
- Helps brand leaders develop communications programs and strategies tied to their respective brand strategies
- Carries out research into more complex areas of government legislation, regulation, managed markets or public policy
- Builds and participates in internal and external networks to share information in the legislative, regulatory or public policy arena and disseminate best practices internally
- Manages data information systems to keep track of external relations with various social groups or charities
- May have budget management responsibilities
- Communicates with and organises external vendors and service providers
- Acts as a resource in one or more areas of Corporate Governance, helping managers and other colleagues resolve more complex Corporate Affairs and communication related issues
**Essential Requirements**:
- Bachelor's degree in life science/ communications or a related field
- 4-5 years of communications/Corporate Affairs or pharmaceutical commercial experience
- Understanding of new media, especially social networks
- Expertise in one or more area(s) of internal or external corporate communications
- Good communicator with excellent interpersonal skills
- Strong project manager who can work effectively under pressure
**Desirable Requirements**:
- Experience with patient-support organisations
