Construction Director – Critical Environments
Regional role based in Hong Kong for international company Must be skilled in running a construction team and have strong stakeholder management Experience of New Build and A&A works in data centres or other critical environments required This growing main contractor and PM consultancy has a wide regional reach with a number of offices across Asia-Pacific. They offer world class construction solutions and unparalleled service to a roster of clients from both the public and private sectors. Currently they are searching for an experienced Construction Director to lead their specialist 'Critical Environment' team from Hong Kong and drive the delivery of new projects such as Data Centres, Disaster Recovery Suites, Trading Floors and Clean Rooms.
The role itself will be responsible for managing the construction of new facilities and overseeing the capital expenditure works for the business. This is a regional role and requires candidates to be responsible for projects across Asia Pacific and will have some travel included. You will be expected to control cost, quality and programme control throughout the design and build phases, lead contract negotiations, ensure compliance to all legislative and industry safety standards, manage budget and project quality delivery, lead the delivery of all phases from the sub-structure to final fit out.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record of delivering mission critical sites such as DCs, hospitals, trading floors, corporate HQ's, etc. on time and in budget, be commercially astute with knowledge of CAPEX estimation and planning processes, have an in-depth knowledge of general construction, M&E works and CDM regulations, whilst having a focus on quality and analytical thinking.
Candidates must have experience in managing a team of direct reports as well as showcasing solid stakeholder management abilities. Cantonese and Mandarin language skills would be greatly beneficial but not required.
