Our Consultancy & Advisory Services team provides our clients with outstanding technical expertise that enables the successful implementation of complex sustainability projects. Our expertise spans across multiple topics including land and water management, climate strategies, renewable energies, environmental impact assessments, green products, climate policy, carbon pricing, climate finance, and sustainable finance, to name just a few. **Job summary**:
**Main tasks & responsibilities**:
- Support the implementation of new and existing advisory mandates with focus on Asia-Pacific Manage client relationships and delivery of advisory mandates to the highest professional standard, both technically and administratively across a range of topics and complexity
- Ensure assigned tasks are completed on time and within budget
- Provide analytical support and insights to South Pole business lines by tracking regional policy and regulation related to domestic and compliance carbon markets
- Generate high quality content for international and multilateral clients in the public and private sector
- Develop clear and concise presentation materials synthesising large complex topics for non-specialist audiences and support delivery to both internal and external clients
- Contribute to knowledge-sharing activities and expand skills and knowledge linked to the topics and services offered by South Pole
- Contribute to the development of South Pole's thought leadership activities, services, products, marketing materials and offerings
**Requirements**:
Essential
- University degree, ideally at a Master's level or higher, in a sustainability-related field
- Minimum of three years professional experience in the field of climate change, mitigation, carbon markets; government policy or related field
- Relevant knowledge of international climate policy and carbon markets
- Excellent project management skills, from both a technical and administrative standpoint, and proven ability to guide project teams in a multi-cultural and multi-geography context
- Experience in client engagement and management Excellent writing skills, with proven expertise in creating and reviewing high-quality written documents (proposals and deliverables)
- Autonomous and proactive, yet strong ability to work collaboratively
- Excellent prioritisation and time management skills
- Excellent oral and written skills in English
Desirable
- Experience working in an international environment across multiple office locations
- Demonstrated experience working on, or within the envelope of, UNFCCC global action
- Lead or co-author of academic papers or publications on climate change related topics
