**Position Purpose**:
To support the business in reaching the competitiveness value through most effective & efficient process.
Working closely with the Manufacturing Leader will strategically implement lean manufacturing to continually improve the production process.
investigating, sourcing & developing solutions to issues throughout the factory, that contribute towards improving manufacturing efficiencies by utilizing lean manufacturing & continuous improvement techniques.
Ensure the factory layout, both at macro and micro levels, is suitable for an efficient manufacturing process.
**Role & Responsibilities**:
- Analyzing manufacturing processes and procedures.
- Developing process enhancement strategies.
- Investigating shortfalls, issues, and complaints in current manufacturing processes.
- Develop manufacturing process improvements as well as implement changes in workflows
- Training, mentoring, and guiding team members in new processes.
- Staying up-to-date with developments in management and process optimization.
**Requirement: (Education, Experience, Knowledge & Skills)**
- Bachelor degree in any discipline, engineering discipline would be beneficial
- A sharp eye for identifying weak points in manufacturing processes
- A strategic & analytical mindset
- A thorough understanding of the latest process enhancement strategies.
- Dynamic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience in a mechanical manufacturing environment, especially furniture will be an advantage
- Demonstrable knowledge of implementing lean manufacturing/continuous improvement
- Six sigma green belt qualification would be desirable
