**Main purpose of the position**
At ISS, our success depends on IT systems that help us reach consumers all over the world.
We are looking for an experienced Windows Server OS engineer, who is passionate about server operations and cloud technologies and eager to expand the knowledge to the rest of the team.
In this role, you will be responsible for installing, managing, and upgrading Windows-based server systems as well as maintaining the stability of the system.
To ensure success as a Windows Server Administrator, you should have in-depth knowledge of Windows server setup, deployment, and maintenance, PowerShell, and the ability to solve complex IT issues.
You will become a part of a team responsible for both our daily IT operations, but also taking part in migration projects and modernization of our current Hybrid cloud IT landscape.
**What you'll do**:
- Installing and upgrading Windows Servers.
- Windows Server maintenance - Monitoring, patching, troubleshooting etc.
- Reviewing system error logs and user-reported errors.
- System performance checks & improvements.
- Resolve support tickets as they're escalated from other teams.
**Who you'll work with**:
- You will join a growing Global IT Operations team with expertise in Cloud, Windows, Linux, Database and Network.
- A team of Enterprise Architects supporting our Cloud journey
- Our Global Information Security organisation with SOC and security architects.
**Key qualifications**:
- 5+ years of experience working in a similar role.
- Detailed knowledge of Windows server setup, deployment, and maintenance.
- Experience with SCCM
- Solid understanding of cloud concepts and components of Microsoft Azure and/or AWS is a plus.
- Experience working with DevOps methodologies, and tools like Azure DevOps, Git, PowerShell, Ansible or Terraform is a plus.
