Job Description Summary:
Reporting to the Head of Corporate Communications, the Senior Corporate Communications Officer (SCCO) is responsible for developing and delivering an external media outreach plan focusing on local (provincial) media.
**Job Description**:
- Identify problems that could damage client relationships or affect project outcomes and promptly alert a supervisor.
- Develop contacts with the media
- Build and maintain relationships with journalists, bloggers, investors and customer audiences that will help advance our work (i.e., place stories about company news and other initiatives)
- Demonstrate a firm grasp of appropriate writing style
- Develop, support and promote company goals, including message development, social media content creation and media outreach
- Develop and implement GAR/Sinar Mas Agribusiness and Food's communication strategies and outreach, including preparation of media releases, opinion editorial, publications and other content, both online and print.
- Identify target audiences and create strategies to engage them effectively.
- Planning and coordinating photo opportunities
- Planning and organise events such as press conferences, exhibitions, open days and press tours, including working with vendors, event coordinators, and design teams for on-site collateral
- Provide report and insight on media coverage.
- Ensure digital marketing content aligns with our brand's identity and message, and assist with marketing campaigns as needed
- Work closely with GCC team members to develop and strengthen employee engagement activities.
- Work with the Content and Editorial team to contribute to the GAR/Sinar Mas Agribusiness and Food editorial/content calendar to ensure proactive communication of GAR/Sinar Mas Agribusiness and Food sustainability progress and critical milestones.
- Work with the Content and Editorial team to generate content that can be utilised across multiple communications channels per the PESO (Paid, Earned, Shared, Owned) Model.
- Work with other members of the Group Corporate Communications to deliver the overarching Group Corporate Communications strategy and provide backstop support in essential functions as required.
- Manage issues and crisis communications supervised by crucial company leaders, including the CSCO SustComs, GCC team members, and the President's Office;
- Demonstrate a top line understanding of the company's businesses
Job Requirement:
- At least three to five years of relevant work experience in media relations, communications, journalism or a related field
- High level of grammatical accuracy and excellent verbal in Bahasa Indonesia.
- Effective written and verbal communications skills in Bahasa Indonesia
- Good English skills both in writing and verbal.
