What will you do:
Leading the Procurement organization supporting all procurement spends for Kenvue in a market. The Country Lead will orchestrate the local procurement efforts and business engagement. The role will also provide leadership in the collaboration of the in market resource with Business Unit (BU) Procurement group, the Share Service Group and Procurement excellence to fulfill in-country business requirements.
Supporting and driving the development of category practices for local market categories, including sourcing strategy definition, deployment, and stakeholder management, to maximize total cost of ownership savings and Procurement's value contribution while achieving compliance with policies, strategies, and processes
Striving to meet the mutually agreed Procurement targets contributing to the overall budgeting target
Key Responsibilities:
Business Engagement:
- Represents the Procurement organization to the market leadership and is responsible for identifying business demand requirements and partnering with Category Management teams to deliver annual value improvements and drive competitive advantage.
- Cultivates a deep understanding of the business partners' extended objectives, country-specific strategic imperatives, and requisites, thereby shaping procurement priorities in alignment with business objectives. Engages in strategic planning and partnerships to ensure coherence.
- Act as the primary liaison for the business, ensuring fulfillment of business requisites
Defines Category Strategy:
- Leads local team to analyzes category and defines category profile, incl. risk assessment, supply base assessment and SRM strategy
- Benchmarks category practices to identify improvement initiatives
- Builds category specific strategic plan in alignment with the regions / countries and aligns strategic plan to financial budget and global business strategies in alignment with global Category Manager and business stakeholders
- Defines R2P and Buying Channel strategy, identifies and considers automation potential and R2P/Channel effectiveness is accountable for savings delivery according to the mutually defined targets
Sourcing:
- Collaborates and aligns with global / regional / local procurement teams as applicable
- Supports supplier selection and fact based negotiations
- Contributes to leading practice exchange throughout Procurement organization
- Leads RFX execution: Selects supplier and drives fact based negotiations
- Collaborates with legal to finalize contractual agreement and its administration
- Works with Category lead to implement and activate global/ regional strategies into the market
Supplier relationship management:
- Maintains and manages relationship with suppliers identified as key suppliers in the selected category and region, monitors performance of key strategic suppliers according to the guidelines
- Leads supplier development activities; sets up cross-functional review meetings with key strategic suppliers in order to improve performance and further cost / demand reductions
- Supports the identification of potential contract improvement opportunities and re-negotiations
Organizational Management:
- Enable/leads harmonization of processes, systems, policy implementation and remediation for local market. This will include performance review and analysis, performance management and development and improvement of end to end value in partnership.
**Qualifications**:
Required Qualifications:
- Graduate with a bachelor degree. A recognized qualification in procurement is a plus
- Minimum 5 years of experiences in sales.
- Good communication skills.
- Fluent in English, both speaking & writing.
- Broad-based understanding of business operations and practices and core Procurement areas of focus (Spend Management: Category
- Management and Supplier Management).
- Customer Orientation (building and maintaining strong relationships with Management)
- Leadership, communication, influencing, collaboration and talent development skills are required
- Able to prioritize requests and propose effective cost/customer service alternatives when necessary.
- Ability to show judgment in developing new approaches and resolving issues
- Project management skills
