Position: CPP Liaison Officer Nationality: Australian
Security Clearance: Negative Vetting Level 2 (NV2)
Role The Close Personal Protection Liaison Officer ( CPPLO ) is responsible for managing and coordinating the CPP team's movements including:
the planning and coordination of protected movement of the Head of Mission ( HOM ), Australian Embassy Personnel and other designated individuals as directed by the Department conduct operational planning, risk assessments and doctrine review for CPP security operations delivery of CPP training (to ensure industry best practice standards are adhered to) for members of the Indonesian National Police Close Protection Team, and work closely and collaboratively with the Indonesian National Police Close Protection Team and develop capacity, capability and maintain a strong rapport. Skills and Experience The CPPLO must have:
previous relevant experience in the public or private sectors, military, or law enforcement experience of not less than five (5) years with an excellent record of conduct. Must not have a criminal record and must not have been dishonourably discharged from service or convicted under the Defence Force Discipline Act (1982) (or equivalent) or terminated from employment in a similar role served as a member of a personal security detail or a close personal protection team for a minimum period of one (1) year in a high risk
environment
relevant CPP or other qualifications obtained in military or policing roles (or similar) and/or relevant CPP or other qualifications or accreditation obtained through a recognised private sector registered training organisation
sound knowledge and skills regarding the planning and conduct of CPP operations and Ministerial Visits in a range of risk environments relevant qualifications to enable training development and delivery exceptional liaison and communication skills, with experience in multiple levels of communication with various levels of management, internal and external including High Office Holders, and
excellent leadership and problem-solving skills Desirable Desirable skills and experience of the CPPLO include:
previous experience working in a diplomatic environment an understanding of the local language previous in-country experience in a similar capacity, and trained in first aid as a minimum to HLTAID006.
