About the Job As a credit risk director, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the sustainable expansion of our lending business in Indonesia. You will build out our credit risk department, improve on existing policies and processes, manage our overall portfolio risk and develop risk policies for new products and partnerships. You will work closely with the other GMF directors to drive the overall direction of the business.
Minimum qualifications Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Accounting or a related field is preferred Minimum 15+ years of experience in credit analysis, risk management, and portfolio oversight particularly in SME and commercial lending in a bank or multifinance institution Has credit risk experience in the fintech or digital bank space or willing to explore the fintech or digital bank space At least 5-6 years of experience building out and managing credit risk teams Proficiency in credit underwriting, financial analysis, credit risk metrics, financial statement reconstruction and business/cash flow verification Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills in Indonesian and English Understand regulations for multifinance business (POJK) Preferred qualifications Handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced and dynamic environment Work in a self-directed and remote environment Work independently as an individual contributor, but also be able to lead a function to drive credit risk initiatives as we grow Responsibilities Regular Portfolio Management: Back Testing and Reporting Conduct overall portfolio reviews to assess the effectiveness of underwriting models. Prepare internal reports, analyze portfolio performance, and recommend corrective actions. Policy Control: Agile Credit Policy Maintenance Maintain an agile credit policy for product, process, and partnership management. Develop multi-dimensional policies to support business growth and operational efficiency. Contribute to the creation of a progressive and adaptable underwriting framework. Operations Excellence: Improve Current Workflow Emphasize continuous improvement in workflow processes. Document existing processes and propose enhancements to provide exceptional customer experiences. Credit Risk: Risk Management and Underwriting Process Develop underwriting models for diverse lending products and segments. Create and encourage innovative risk mitigation strategies while ensuring responsible lending. Provide credit assessments for pipelines and partnership initiatives. Eliminate bottlenecks in the credit process for a fast and responsive underwriting.
