**Responsibilities**:
Lead and manage a team of Database Administrators, providing mentorship, guidance, and technical expertise.
Oversee the design, creation, testing, and maintenance of our database systems.
Ensure the availability, performance, and security of databases, addressing incidents and problems promptly.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and optimize database structures.
Perform routine database housekeeping tasks, including performance tuning, indexing, and optimization.
Design and implement database backup, archiving, and storage strategies.
Monitor database usage, transaction volumes, response times, and concurrence levels.
Create and maintain database standards and policies to ensure consistency and best practices.
Lead efforts in troubleshooting and resolving complex database-related incidents.
Plan and execute database-related projects and initiatives.
**Requirements**:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Proven experience 5+ years working as a Database Administrator
Proficient in at least two of the following Database Platforms: MSSQL, DB2, PostgreSQL, TigerGraph, Informatica.
Strong expertise in database design, creation, and testing.
Leadership skills with the ability to lead and mentor a team of Database Administrators.
Experience in routine database housekeeping tasks, including performance tuning and indexing.
Solid understanding of database monitoring and optimization principles.
Familiarity with database backup, archiving, and storage strategies.
Knowledge of database security principles and best practices.
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Willingness to work on a shift basis, including participation in on-call rotations
