Come create the technology that helps the world act together
Nokia is committed to innovation and technology leadership across mobile, fixed and cloud networks. Your career here will have a positive impact on people's lives and will help us build the capabilities needed for a more productive, sustainable, and inclusive world.
We challenge ourselves to create an inclusive way of working where we are open to new ideas, empowered to take risks and fearless to bring our authentic selves to work.
The team you'll part of
Mobile Networks Business Group is a leader in wireless mobility networks and associated services. With more than 3.500 patent families essential for 5G we have a strong 5G portfolio and are a front runner in open and virtualized radio access networks (O-RAN and vRAN).
**Key Accountability**
- Accountable for the technical success of the cloud RAN and other MN cloud native solutions.
- Supports the CDM/PD by providing insights into technical planning and execution issues.
- Leads the technical team through the entire duration of the project.
- Is the primary technical communications contact for the customer.
- During the planning phase of the project, establish the agreed contractual system requirements. During the design phase, either develops or leads the design team to develop an e2e architecture and design that meets the specifications and meets cost, time to market and quality constraints.
- Maintains ownership and support of the architecture and design from project commencement through to final solution delivery and acceptance by the customer.
**Key Responsibilities / Activities**
- During the pre-sales phase, the Delivery Architect may support the pre-sales team for the following:
o Supervise the development of the solution architecture for the purpose of offer submission
o Ensure that the TSD developed by the pre-sales team contains a description of the customer solution that provides an adequate starting point for developing project technical requirements and review the solution in totality so that it is implementable
- Once the project hands off from pre-sales to delivery, the Delivery Architect takes over ownership for the TSD.
- During project execution, has responsibility for the following items. The scale and complexity of the project will determine whether the Delivery Architect can execute these items directly or with the help of a technical team
o Define the document review and acceptance process
o System Requirements Development
- Derive functional & non-functional requirements in line with the contracted scope; perform requirements designation and importance analysis; perform verifiability analysis; perform risk analysis.
o Define the system breakdown structure (system, subsystems, system elements)
o Support PM in preparing quality management portion of the PMP including metrics, timing
o Establish and lead an agreed configuration management plan, defining technical baselines and adherence to them
o Support PM in the definition and scheduling of AIM gates
o Support PM in the definition of deliverables to be generated based on the AIM definitions, defining the responsibility for each deliverable, monitoring and reporting on progress, and leading deliverable review and acceptance
o Development of e2e Solution Architecture and High-Level Design (multiple technology domains)
- Determine a physical and logical solution architecture; partition and allocate system requirements and functionality to the architecture; analyse and evaluate alternate solutions; define subsystems and system elements; derive subsystem and system element requirements
o Use Case Analysis
- Perform Use Case Analysis, scenario determination and develop sequence diagrams to support the requirements analysis, architecture & high-level design activities.
o Interface Specification
- Ensure all external interfaces are adequately analysed and defined. Define and document internal solution interfaces
o Lead the development of the Solution Validation Strategy, likely with the help of an Integration and Test Engineer
o Support Project Manager in technical risk management activities
o Technical Risk Identification and mitigation
- Proactively seek to identify and address technical risks. Conduct preliminary risk assessments on the project and all suppliers; ensuring a constant focus on risk identification and potential impact assessment; identifying and executing mitigation strategies to limit impact; support on reporting of risk exposure (cost, schedule, other); escalating, as appropriate
o Technical aspects of Gate Execution
- Provide key inputs and be accountable for technical decisions relating to system requirements and system architecture/design.
o Requirements & Design traceability
- Maintain traceability between solution requirements and architecture/design documents and test book
o Technical change impact assessment
- Undertake analysis on the technical impact of proposed changes to the
