This involves strengthening Australia's security, enhancing Australia's prosperity, delivering an effective and high-quality development program and helping Australian travellers and Australians overseas.The department provides foreign, trade and development policy advice to the Australian Government. DFAT also works with other Australian government agencies to drive coordination of Australia's pursuit of global, regional and bilateral interests.**About the Media, Public Diplomacy, Scholarships and Alumni Section**The Media, Public Diplomacy, Scholarships and Alumni Section, is responsible for the Australian Embassy's communications which support delivery of the Australian Government's strategic priorities in Indonesia and in the region. The section provides direction for strategic communications activity across the Embassy, to ensure these communication objectives are embedded in all policy and program areas.The section works closely with our Indonesian stakeholders and collaborate on public diplomacy projects that build influence and create shared understanding.**About the position**Under limited direction from the Strategic Communications Manager, the Strategic Communications Officer supports the delivery of Australian Embassy-wide strategic communications campaigns.
