You will be based in Jakarta, Indonesia, responsible for establishing, implementing, and maintaining a business development process to identify, nurture, and maximize opportunities for reinsurance business according to company goals and objectives.
This role offers a valuable opportunity to bring to the market the new products, insights, and other developments globally to support Indonesia life insurance industry growth, to develop skills in project management, business development, communication and negotiation, while gaining experience through relationship with companies' key decision makers, consultants, regulators and association leaders. You will be required to stay abreast of market dynamics, regulatory changes, and client requirements to develop solutions with supports from Product Innovations, Structured Solutions, Digital Solutions, Retakaful and Group Business.
Your Role: Conducting analysis of current developments in Indonesia life and health insurance markets and their implication on the financial results and performance of insurance companies. Work with Chief Representative on the reinsurance solutions in planning and execution of client activities Prepare, analyse, and evaluate client and market data, from external and internal sources, identifying specific gaps or opportunities, and developing reinsurance solutions as part of the team Provide an active management of internal interfaces and resources during any client discussions or on the conclusion of opportunities Drive the negotiation of reinsurance treaties, including managing internal peer relationships, e.g. with Treaty Expert, Technical Accounting, Actuarial Valuation to ensure efficient execution, accurate treaty creation, regular data delivery and revenue recognition. Cultivate and maintain relationships with senior executives and decision-makers of client companies, more importantly the MNCs, but with also external parties such as local actuarial societies, life insurance association, or regulators. Provide active role on supporting any webinars, trainings, including meetings with the relevant parties, with aim to strengthen our position in the market. Your Profile: Qualified actuary with at least with 5-year post fellowship experience in actuarial disciplines. Good and effective communication skills (oral and written) in English and Bahasa and strong presentation skill are basic requirement Min. 10 years of actuarial experience in life insurance or reinsurance Team player especially an ability to work with a range of experts across multiple functional and geographical areas and varying levels of seniority.
