Role Description:
The Ads Operations Supervisor plays a pivotal role in overseeing the strategic planning, execution, and optimization of digital advertising campaigns. This position requires a seasoned professional with a strong background in digital marketing and ad operations, capable of leading a team to deliver exceptional results for clients or internal stakeholders.
**Requirements**:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience in digital marketing agency or digital media (publisher), with at least 2 years specifically in ad operations.
- Profound proficiency in managing and optimizing various digital ad campaigns, encompassing display, mobile, and video formats.
- In-depth understanding and practical experience with programmatic buying, including but not limited to Demand-Side Platforms (DSPs), Supply-Side Platforms (SSPs), Data Management Platforms (DMPs), AdExchanges, and audience targeting methodologies.
- Demonstrated familiarity with third-party ad and website tracking tools, ad serving platforms, and related technologies such as Google Ad Manager, DoubleClick Campaign Manager, or similar.
- Proven capability to analyze campaign performance data effectively, draw actionable insights, and implement optimization strategies to enhance campaign performance.
- Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to mentor and guide a team of ad operations specialists.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic programming skills (HTML, JavaScript, etc.) would be advantageous, facilitating troubleshooting and customization tasks.
- Adherence to industry best practices, compliance regulations, and emerging trends in digital advertising.
**Responsibilities**:
- Lead and oversee the day-to-day operations of the ads operations team, ensuring smooth execution and delivery of digital ad campaigns.
- Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to ad operations specialists, fostering their professional growth and development.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including sales, marketing, creative, and technical teams to ensure alignment and seamless execution of ad campaigns.
- Develop and implement best practices and standard operating procedures for ad operations, optimizing efficiency and effectiveness.
- Monitor campaign performance metrics and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), conducting regular analysis to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for optimization.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, leveraging insights from campaign performance data to enhance targeting, messaging, and overall campaign effectiveness.
- Troubleshoot technical issues related to ad serving, tracking, and creative implementation, collaborating with technical teams as needed to resolve issues promptly.
- Stay abreast of industry developments, emerging technologies, and best practices in digital advertising, and provide recommendations for adoption as appropriate.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and best practices, including General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), and Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB) guidelines.
